About Blue Stone

Tamarine Robinson always wanted to run an accountancy business — and she founded Blue Stone (then under a different name) in her 20s. Since those days, the business has grown, flourished and become one of the most respected accountants in Cornwall. Tamarine also runs Simply Payroll SW Ltd and Helping Hands Accountancy CIC.

Based in the heart of Cornwall, Blue Stone has a real community vibe. Our office is a welcoming place and we always appreciate our clients dropping in — however, if they can’t do that then we go to great lengths to always keep them in the loop with whatever services we are carrying out for them. The aim of our business is to solve all your accountancy problems, whoever you may be. It’s something we’ve been doing for many years — and we will be serving you many years into the future too.

Tamarine Robinson

Founder

With more than 30 years of accountancy experience behind her, Tamarine runs Blue Stone with dedication, care and affection. She describes herself as ‘down-to-earth, grounded and passionate about accounts’ — and she is devoted to her many clients in Cornwall and far beyond. She always goes the extra mile and ‘understands how it is in the real world so I strive for the best for my clients as I save them money on tax where possible’. Tamarine is Blue Stone’s boss, manager, supervisor, lead accountant and team leader all in one. She’s welcoming, vastly experienced and always checks over every submission before it’s filed via third party software for Making Tax Digital (MTD) rules for HMRC and Companies House. Kat Dunstan

Senior Accountant

After countless years of diverse accountancy experience in the South West, Kat is certainly part of the furniture at Blue Stone. She has a solid family grounding, good values and the ability to think on her feet as she recommends solutions for incomplete records, VAT, Corporation Tax and much more besides. Kat has a neat and tidy mind and this is reflected in the accounts that she works on — everything has a number and everything is always in its place. This has been proven over and over again when it comes to showing incomplete information that clients may have accidentally not supplied. Tamarine calls her ‘a true godsend’.
Rosie Bennetts

Farming Business Accountant

Born and raised on a Cornish farm, Rosie has a unique understanding of this highly specialised industry. She is extremely knowledgeable about the farming world and has a deep appreciation for the finances that are involved in running such a complex business. All of Blue Stone’s farming accounts are managed by Rosie, however she is equally competent in other aspects of the company as she also works with builders, carpenters and other businesses. After work she is often found with her cows — administering meds, feeding them or helping them with calving.
Lisa George

Charity and Analytical Review Accountant

Lisa has many years of experience in the accounting world. She specialises in analytical reviews and independent examinations on charity accounts. She is also the founder of the Making Tax Digital (MTD) QuickBooks regime at Blue Stone and offers training and advice to both new and long-standing clients. She takes great joy in teaching others how to get the most out of the package to suit their needs. She tackles all problems with vigour and enthusiasm and likes a job done properly.
Joss Trathen

IT Guy

Joss is an essential part of the business as he deals with all things techy. He says: “No, ‘clearing cookies’ doesn’t mean raiding the biscuit tin…”
